Dr. Cathleen Killeen-Pittman
Dr. Cathleen Killeen-Pittman is the founder of Our Learning Studio, an academic support and organizational practice based in High Point, NC. Dr. Pittman works in private practice as an academic support and organizational specialist, literacy coach, and consultant to support parents, students, teachers, tutors, and business owners across the country.
Dr. Pittman's career as an educator spans over 28+ years. She has served as a teacher or administrator in public school and higher education settings. She spent 15 years serving as a beginning teacher evaluator where she conducted several thousand observations and mentored teachers during the first three years of their careers. She became a business owner back in 2006 when she opened her first large-scale tutoring center, and she now works in private practice.
Dr. Pittman is committed to helping students blossom and gain confidence through her small group online classes, self-paced Teachable writing workshop, and one-on-one academic coaching sessions. She works extensively with parents and educators through consultations and workshops. Dr. Pittman provides training on how to help children learn to read using multi-sensory strategies and how to empower and provide behavioral support to children with regulation challenges.
Dr. Pittman also works with tutoring business owners and other professionals through one-on-one executive function coaching sessions to help them effectively and efficiently run their businesses. She has helped a wide array of service businesses set up their practices to be sellable, using the valuable insight she gained after successfully selling her first tutoring practice.
Dr. Pittman holds an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, a graduate degree in Educational Leadership, and a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration.
